Dispute Policy
DoneDeal is designed to create clarity before, during, and after a job. When a disagreement happens, DoneDeal helps both sides review the job record so the issue can be handled with better documentation.
DoneDeal keeps the job record clear.
Each job may include:
- Job description
- Price and payment amount
- Deposit or full payment details
- Client approval
- Expected completion date
- Terms or notes
- Uploaded files
- Photos or completion updates
- Receipts
- Activity history
What happens when a dispute is raised?
If a customer or business reports an issue, DoneDeal may mark the job as disputed and preserve the related job record. Both sides can review the available information, including payment details, uploaded files, updates, receipts, and completion history.
DoneDeal's role is to organize the record, not to automatically decide who is right or wrong.
DoneDeal does not act as escrow.
DoneDeal does not hold customer funds until work is completed, does not release funds based on approval, and does not act as a neutral escrow agent. Payments are processed through the payment provider, and the business's payment setup determines how funds are received.
DoneDeal does not decide every dispute.
DoneDeal is not a court, law firm, arbitration service, or legal advisor. DoneDeal does not guarantee a specific outcome, refund, chargeback result, or dispute resolution. The platform is designed to help both sides keep clearer records and resolve disagreements with better information.
Payment disputes and chargebacks.
Refunds, chargebacks, and payment reversals may depend on the payment processor, the business's policies, card network rules, bank review, and applicable law. DoneDeal helps organize job documentation, but does not control the outcome of a payment processor or card issuer dispute.

Our goal.
